For Teachers

As former teachers, we want to thank you for choosing The Director's Cut!  We take a tremendous amount of pride in what we do and PROMISE to make this an exciting and engaging opportunity for you and your students. Our in class field trips are more than just about mentoring your students in the digital film and media making process. We will provide opportunities to engage your students to become savvy consumers and producers of media, and work with them to develop media literacy skills that they can use as they grow in their digital world.

Choose from one of our blockbuster in class workshops, including; Silent Film Making, Documentary film making, Claymation, Paper stop motion animation, Toy stop motion animation, Make Your Own Movie Trailer, Digital Graphic Novels,Book A Workshop Interactive story books and Music video production. Our curriculum and program delivery is created and constantly tweaked by certified teachers and facilitated by professional film makers who we have aptly named IMAGINATORS.  Along with their zest to communicate digital media, they bring with them the latest in digital gear, including Mac Books, Digital equipment and all materials to make your classroom Hollywood enabled. Curriculum, assessment and evaluation and even parent letters home are provided to you and your team. We arrive 30 minutes prior to the school day and work with your students for the entire day.  Many of our workshops are preparation free (with the exception of a storyboard).  All participants receive a chaptered dvd of their film.  The teacher receives a copy of the dvd and also receives free tickets to our International Film Festival at Cineplex Theaters, where your class will have the opportunity to watch an internationally acclaimed film and may even have the chance to premiere their film up on the big screen!
